| Seriously, I used that phrase when a friend asked me “How I was doing?” I replied “Saving Virginia!” She stopped, turned around, and asked me to repeat my statement. Of course, she asked How? My reply is that Chesterfield has a chance to save Virginia from becoming a one-party state. Following her election to Lt. Governor in November, Ghazala Hashmi’s Senate seat is up for grabs and it is in Chesterfield/Richmond! If we win, we can Stop the Redistricting! The State Senate would be 20D/20R. In the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Lieutenant Governor cannot break a tie on Constitutional amendments! FYI, she didn’t need the info in red, she understood redistricting and taking VA from 6D/5R to 10D and only 1R members of Congress. This is basically erasing republicans from the House of Representatives. She said “Who do I make the check out to?” I didn’t even ask, she volunteered. I was getting my hair done. Talk to friends, family, neighbors, etc.!
66% of Virginians voted in 2020 for Citizen Drawn Maps!
The best time for a Win in this 65D /35R District is a Special Election! We need to get the hard (committed) Republicans to show up. (The ones who only vote in Presidential Years). You know who they are! Your friends, co-workers, family! Those who moan and groan and still don’t vote in off-years!
Here is the Message!!!
DO YOU BELIEVE IN FAIR ELECTIONS?
In 2020, Virginians voted OVERWHELMINGLY 66% – 34%
for a NONPARTISAN citizen commission to draw district maps
The result? A FAIR map: 6 Democrat – 5 Republican seats
Now partisan politicians want to INVALIDATE YOUR VOTE
and force a new politician created map.
That’s NOT what Virginia voters chose! That’s NOT FAIR representation!
PROTECT THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE—KEEP REDISTRICTING FAIR & NONPARTISAN
You can stop this un-democratic power grab by electing the one person who can stop it:
